 At Sutton Piano Studio, we offer personalised, professional piano lessons that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each piano student. 

Our one-on-one private lessons provide a focused and productive learning experience that allows students to progress at their own pace. 

To ensure the best learning environment we require all students to attend their lessons independently. 

No Friends or Family members can sit through a Piano Lesson.

The audition process is FREE of charge and is similar to a short trial piano lesson. There is no obligation on the part of the student to start piano lessons. 

You will meet with our piano teacher during the audition and discuss your musical goals and requirements. You will also get a quick tour of the piano studio and an opportunity to play the piano.

If you are a complete beginner, our piano teacher can assess your musical ability with some beginner-friendly music tests.

 The Piano Academic Year is carefully planned and divided into three terms of 8 weeks each, which aligns with the National School Calendar and runs from September to June. 

We believe students should also have ample time to rest and enjoy the school holidays, as it is essential to their growth and development. For this reason, we pause piano lessons during Halloween, Christmas, and Easter, to allow students to enjoy these holidays with their families and friends.  

 Please note that term fees are due at the beginning of each 8-week term, and must be paid in full on the first lesson

(Every 8 weeks) 

 Please note that fees are nonrefundable once tuition commences. 

It is important to understand that if a student chooses to discontinue piano lessons before the end of the term, they will not be eligible for a refund. 

Piano Examinations

From Initial Grades Elementary to Grade VIII 

With RIAM, ABRSM & Trinity College London.

Junior Certificate & Leaving Certificate 

Music Practical State Examinations.

 If the Teacher cannot make a lesson, the student may be given the option of a makeup lesson with the teacher that same week, otherwise, a lesson is added to your term.

Please give 24 hours' notice of cancellation otherwise no refund and no makeup lesson will be given for the missed lesson.

At Sutton Piano Studio, we understand that finding a lesson slot that fits your schedule can be challenging.  If your preferred lesson time and day are already taken, we'll do our best to arrange a lesson swap with another piano student or find you an available slot on a different day.  We are always here to help!

Additionally, we maintain an active waiting list that you can join while waiting for your preferred lesson time and day to become available.
